The role of the United Nations in protecting children from recruitment during armed conflicts
Abstract
Abstract : The most important goals of the United Nations are to maintain international peace and security. As stated in its Charter, which includes the protection and defense of human rights, it is a binding duty for it, as the largest international body, to address situations arising from armed conflicts, including violations resulting from the recruitment of children, and to attempt to find appropriate solutions to them. The organization works to cooperate between countries to solve economic and social problems, and its important bodies, represented by the General Assembly and the Security Council, seek to achieve these goals.
