Abstract

Abstract: Non-governmental organizations in society have become an undeniable reality, with the potential and capacity to defend and protect the interests of individuals. The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is one of the most important of these organizations to play a significant role during non-international armed conflicts. It seeks to ensure that the parties to the conflict are committed to the application of the rules of international humanitarian law through a variety of activities carried out on the basis of their role in accordance with the rules of international humanitarian law, the four Geneva Conventions and their two additional Protocols. It works in accordance with the right of humanitarian initiative in the absence of a text governing its work and provides assistance, protection and the return of family ties.
