Legal basis for combating corruption in Iraqi legislation

Abstract

     We cannot talk about legislation or an entity in itself that includes an integrated anti-corruption system in any country, Rather there must be a legislative and institutional system based on a constitutional basis in accomplishing these tasks. This applies on the basis of the work of the supervisory authorityin Iraq. Which are based on the performance of its functions to several statutes graduated from constitutional to law relevant to its work. And then the laws governing the work of those entities. And other laws that contain provisions that would be based on them in the performance of their functions in preventing and combating corruption. As well as international cooperation through adherence to international and regional treaties and conventions. That the fight against corruption is no longer a national matter, but must be the cooperation of international efforts and we will limit to this research in the legal basis to combat corruption in Iraqi legislation.
