Abstract
Maritime piracy has caused many serious consequences for the international community as a result of its direct targeting of the international trade movement. Consequently, the international community has moved to combat the crime of maritime piracy. And represents the role of the United Nations in addressing the crime of maritime piracy Through the resolutions and recommendations of the United Nations organs, to combat and suppress maritime piracy, 1 and it is noted that all decisions and recommendations of the United Nations organs have been made following the recent increase in maritime piracy, in which the principle of international cooperation Be it international or inter-State organizations. This affirmation is in line with the Charter of the United Nations, emphasizing international cooperation in solving international problems, particularly with regard to international crimes.
