Abstract

The Nineveh Plain is a flat area of ​​the most beautiful Bekaa in the region. It stretches between the Iraqi city of Mosul with the religious and heritage history of Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, the homeland of Kurds in Iraq. It follows the Nineveh governorate administratively and consists of three districts: Hamdania, Shikhan and Taileef. Since then, there has been an intense presence of Christians in addition to other national and ethnic groups such as Yazidis, Turkmans, Shabaks and Arabs. The speakers of the Syriac language in Iraq are mainly concentrated in this region. The main Iraqi churches, the Chaldean Catholic Church The Syriac Orthodox Church, the Syriac Catholic Church and the Assyrian Church of the East.
