Constitutional Court in Jordan between the text and jurisprudence and comparative jurisprudence

Abstract

A step in the right direction, this is the least that can be said when  expressing a general assessment of the idea of a constitutional court in Jordan being a longer application of the constitutional amendments of 2011, which formed a new start to the Jordanian constitution in the fourth kingdom which itself advanced constitutional revolution


To approve the establishment of the Constitutional Court, living proof of the rise of Jordan advanced stage of democracy, which is considered a protector of the provisions of the Constitution and protect and safeguard the rights and basic freedoms


Thus joined Jordan to States that are approved and acknowledge constitutional control over the laws directly through a private independent body set up specifically for this purpose and the intended purpose of such control to maintain the principle of His Highness the Constitution and keep the legislation compatible with the constitutional text
